- MOVE Steven Holzner
- Command PC Magazine Vol 4, No 6
- Copyright 1985 Ziff-Davis Publishing Company
- ______________________________________________________
-
- Purpose: Allows rapid selection and copying of files
- to or from a double-sided floppy disk, a
- RAMdisk, or the current subdirectory of a
- hard disk.
-
- Format: MOVE [d:]filename[.ext] d:
-
- Remarks: MOVE.COM was written to be compatible with
- all versions of PC-DOS (including 1.1), and
- so does not support pathnames.
-
- Example: When you enter a command such as
-
- MOVE A:*.BAS B:
-
- each filename on the root (or current)
- directory of drive A: that has a .BAS
- extension will be displayed in the form
-
- Copy filename.BAS (Y/N)?
-
- If you strike Y, the file will immediately be
- copied to drive B: and the next appropriate
- filename will be displayed. If you strike N,
- the file will not be copied, and the next
- appropriate filename will be presented. The
- program terminates with a simple return to
- the DOS prompt when no appropriate files
- remain to be considered.
